  2. Broken Hose 4 Star Review

My original hose broke in the plastic coil after a couple of years. This hose looks better constructed. I ordered the wrong one initially. The company swapped it before the old unit was sent back Service was great.

  3. Perfect what I needed 5 Star Review

Posted by on 8th Mar 2017

I needed an air hose with a chuck that could be screwed into my RV tire air valves, the more common clip-ons didn't work because the pressure is too high.

The MV-50 air hose did the job perfectly, I replaced the chuck from my existing pressure gauge with it and I can now finally inflate my RV tires without to constantly apply pressure to the chuck against the valve.

  4. Hose seems cheaper than the original 3 Star Review

Posted by on 20th Dec 2016

The hose that I purchased seems to be cheaper than the original hose in construction (materials). The original wasn't any better, but I wish the materials used would have been of better quality. I have an ARB hose and the materials are much stronger but wished your company would or possibly have another solution for a better hose line. I do like your compressor as I have owned mine for over six years now and it's still running strong.

  6. Much better than the original air hose. 4 Star Review

Posted by on 15th Feb 2016

I've had this little MV50 compressor for several years now and it's been great. After about 8 years of use and dozens if not 100+ tires filled, the hose cracked on a cold day after a Jeepin' trip.

The replacement is similar, but the connections on the compressor-side of the air hose are now rubber coated, which is great since fitting gets pretty hot after airing up four 36" tires from 10-28psi. The new rubber-coated fittings seem far less likely to burn my fingers like the old one did.

My only complaint is the air-chuck on the tire-side of the air hose. It's still the type that you have to screw/thread on to the valve stem, which takes a few extra seconds to connect/disconnect from the valve stem. I would love to see one with a "quick connect" type of chuck.

  8. Superflow Products Rock 5 Star Review

Posted by on 14th Oct 2015

Only bought a replacement hose on-line, as one fitting on my old one has cracked. Hose is for the MV50 I've had for years. It's been a workhorse. But, alas, it's adequate for car tires, but not big enough for the tires on the F250 (at 75 psi) that I just bought. So, I bought an MV90 for the truck and RV. However, one reason I did buy the MV90 is that it uses standard quick connect fittings. How come the MV50 doesn't? That's the only criticism I have of any Superflow products... excellent performance, a full range of capabilities, but why not equip everything with industry standard connectors instead of "M" and "Q" that you can't buy anywhere.

MASTERFLOW RESPONSE: Hello Steve, thanks for the good review. All of our tire inflators now come with the Type M air fitting which is most often considered the industry standard quick disconnect. Only older models still have the Type Q which is proprietary. We do sell the Type M fittings if you would like to upgrade your older MV50 to industry standard. Hope this is helpful, and if you have any questions please contact us at customerservice@qindustries.net

  9. Yellow Hose 3 Star Review

Posted by on 16th Jun 2015

The original hose that came with the unit did not last more than three years and was used only 6 times. I kept it in the truck of my SUV but the yellow portion slowly became sticky. Then recently it just snapped apart. I feel that the yellow hose is made from questionable parts that caused this. The overall product is really great and we take it on all our road trips.Yellow Hose

  10. It's a hose 3 Star Review

Posted by on 10th Jun 2015

The new hose works well but I question the longevity of it. The fittings look significantly weaker and the coil is of a smaller diameter. The tighter coil makes it less unwieldy but adds more stress to the nylon tubing. The fittings look pretty cheap, which is disheartening. There is no deflate attachment like I had on the old hose, but who really uses that anyway? (I JB Welded the old one to disable it) I do miss the longer tire fitting, though. For $10, it's a bargain, but may buy a spare next time I go into the Chihuahuan desert.
